-1/ The OPEN DANCE COMPETITION is open to all national teams for couples and solo dance.
Should the national team of any country decide not to enter, one or more of that country’s club teams may enter. (In the case of France, the national team and club teams may enter).
The competition is divided into
six catégories for dance couples : -Minis/Espoirs/Cadets/Youth/Juniors/Seniors
two catégories for solo dance: - Juniors and Seniors only
A skater cannot take part in couple AND solo
Rules :
(Rules identical to those of the C.I.P.A.)
Couples
-Minis+Espoirs+
Cadets + Youth : 2 compulsory dances (2 marks) weighting 1
1 free dance (2 marks) weighting 1
-Juniors + séniors : 1 Original Dance (2 marks) weighting 1
1 free dance (2 marks) weighting 1
Solos :
-Juniors + séniors : 2 compulsory dances (2 marks) weighting 1
1 free dance (2 marks) weighting 1
The number of skaters in solo dance by foreign nation is limited at 6 in each categorie .

-7/ NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS PER COUNTRY : UNLIMITED for couple
LIMITED for solo (see art.1)
-8/ ENTRY FEE : € 35 per participating couple,
€ 20 per participating solo
to be paid on the spot at the beginning of the training sessions .
-9/ VALUABLE PRIZES (in addition to the cups and medals) will be presented to the winners of the various categories
--10/ FUNDING OF DELEGATIONS:
The Organising Committee of the Dancing Open will provide a contribution to costs according to the number of participants, with the following limits:
For each Senior Pair (maximum covered: 3) €150
If there is at least 2 Junior Pair: €150
If there are at least 6 pairs in other classes: €150
If there are at least 6 solos: €150
totalling no more than €900 per Federation.
The contributions will be paid by the organising club at Hettange on the first day of the competition.
Entry badges: one badge per trainer for each six skaters more one for delegate. Internationals judges and calculators only with official card .
-11/ ACCOMMODATION:
FEDERATIONS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR RESERVING THEIR OWN ROOMS (NEAREST HOTELS ARE IN THIONVILLE – 5 KMS). FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE WE GIVE DETAILS OF HOTELS BELOW.
-12/ JUDGES :
Each participating nation must appoint a qualified dance judge (agreed by CEPA) to officiate during the competition .
The competition will be arbitrated by five judges. In the event of need, the organizing country will be able to make to officer several judges (up to four).
The Organizing Committee will not bear judges travel costs. Such costs must be borne by the national teams.
-13/ RINK :
46m X 26m, WOODEN floring.
-14/ MUSIC : Music for the free and OSP dances must be recorded on CD (1 music by CD ) and bear the following information :
NATION, NAMES, FIRST NAMES, CATEGORIES, LENGTH OF PROGRAMME.
-15/ LIABILITY :
The F.R.S.F. and the Skate Club Lorrain will accept no liability for any accidents suffered by skaters, officials or spectators either on or off the rink for the entire duration of the competition and immmediately thereafter, nor for any technical incidents involving the rules, music, etc...
-16/ RULES GOVERNING THE PROGRAMME : See attached notes.
-17/ The TIMETABLE for training sessions and for the competition proper will be forwarded following receipt of definite entries.

the rules for dances solo is the same one as that of Européan Cup. Thus the boys and the girls will have to take the steps of the girl in the compulsories dances .
